Solomon Islands Training Seminar

The Effective Teaching Series Phase Three training for the South Seas Evangelical Church (SSEC) Solomon Islands held at the SWIM base near the Airport in Honiara on 28th June to 2nd July 2010. This seminar was an important step in the ongoing growth and development of the SSEC schools. It was organised by Joash Maneipuri, Education Director for SSEC and attended by eleven people most of whom had already completed the first two phases of Training. As a result of their successful completion of the course there are now sufficient trainers for SSEC to train all their teachers. The Seminar was conducted by Rev Bob Frisken, President of New Hope International (NHI) and Mr Biango Buia, Development Secretary of the United Church in PNG. It is an exciting development of NHI to now have trainers available from countries other than Australia.

LAUNCH OF CORPORATE FRIENDS OF NEW HOPE INTERNATIONAL

On May 27th Corporate Friends of New Hope International (NHI) was launched with the signing up of the first two Corporate Friends. To celebrate the occasion, Standard Publishing House invited directors of NHI to lunch at their new premises. After lunch Neil signed up Standard Publishing House to become a Corporate Friend.

The concept of Corporate Friends was the vision of John Frisken a Director of New Hope International and Managing Director of ISG Consulting which over the last eight years has become a leader in the application of IT Governance assisting companies in implementing greater control and security over their IT and business operations.

Neil Armstrong, Managing Director of Standard Publishing House which has set the standard in fine quality printing of corporate and educational brochures, books, diaries, flyers and stationery for over 107 years was also one of the driving forces towards the launching of Corporate Friends. It was appropriate therefore that these two companies became the first Corporate Friends of New Hope.
