Community Integrated Educational Development Agency
The Pori Community of the newly formed Hela Province has established the Community Integrated Educational Development Agency( CIEDA) which is a Non Government Organisation in Papua New Guinea. CIEDA will develop networking connections to partner with Christian organisations and other developers for capacity building, training and facilitating projects in rural communities in Pori, and other centres in Hela and Papua New Guinea. Some results achieved are:
1. Library built and opened.
2. Capacity building and awareness on Christian schooling and sustainable development on going
3. Construction of the airstrip started by the community through CIEDA and on going.
4. The National Minister for Education plans to support the schools in the Pori community and launch CIEDA organisation

On behalf of the Pori Community, CIEDA thanks New Hope International Limited for connecting and reaching out to developing communities like Pori and other developing communities in Asia, Pacific and Africa to promote understanding of the concept of Christian Schooling and Christian Community development at the grassroots’ level where development is lacking.
The Pori Community through Community Integrated Educational Development Agency (CIEDA) has been heavily involved in capacity building and has taken ownership and eventually completed the Community Library which was opened by the National Minister for Education Hon James Marabe on the 15th of September, 09.

Building an Airstrip by hand
Currently Pori community is building an airstrip as a second CIEDA priority project on behalf of two government schools, two Christian Brethren Schools and 12 elementary schools in Pori area in the new Hela province of Papua New Guinea. Because there are no access roads at present construction of the airstrip involves moving hillsides using only shovels, picks and wheelbarrows. The airstrip will be an advantage for the schools to fly in their supplies from Port Moresby.
The Pori community opened the Library with assistance and prayers received from New Hope International networking with schools like Mt Annan Christian School in Sydney and Mueller College in Brisbane.

Prayer Points
1. Pray for the airstrip project to be completed.
2. Pray for new Pori Christian High School to be established before 2012.
3. Pray for capital funds for CIEDA organisation for capacity Building and recruit 1 or 2 admin officer.
4. Prayer for long term partners from an overseas organisation with CIEDA
5. Pray for CIEDA to organise Christian Schools teachers and leaders Conference in Tari, New Hela province of Papua New Guinea in 2010.
6. Prayer for the Launching of CIEDA in Papua New Guinea
7. Child care and sponsorship for orphans and disadvantage kids.
