Brindabella Christian College raise money for emergency releif in Uganda
Students at Brindabella Christian College in Canberra recently fundraised and donated $1500 which went into COME Uganda's Emergency Food Program. Food prices have more than doubled in the last 6 months due to crop failure, making it difficult for the poor to purchase food. 38 buckets and 20 basins were given out in Lugala and the other 62 buckets were given out in Kasengejje village. They were given to the very needy - widows, large families and the destitute. The buckets and basins contained rice, flour, beans, oil, salt, sugar, tea and soap. 40 basins for bathing were also given out. A big thank you to the students who organised the fundraising!
