FLOODS IN INDIA in Kurnool District
Sister Ann Laurie
Sister Anne Laurie of Redeemed Hearts Ministry writes, "My heart breaks looking at our Kurnool District as the whole district is filled with flood water. Yesterday the level of the water reached as high as the second floor in many places. Officially the Government declared that there are some deaths but further investigations are needed."

| Government Officials inspecting the Flood conditions |
The Government has requested all NGO'S in the state to provide food packets, water packets and blankets for the thousands in needs as it is impossible for the Government to do it alone. Our organization also has met together on Saturday (October 3) and organised some plans to help the rescue teams. We have gathered some old blankets and clothes to share for them and also alms for rice to share for the victims. We have also gathered little money to buy water packets. For one Australian dollar we can buy 32 water packets.

People in great distress
I am really concerned about my people and I ask my Christian brothers and sisters in other parts of the world you as very compassionate people to understand the agony we are going throug for people of our fellowship. We are also seeking your help to lift our people through your prayers from their distress as around 80% of the population of Kurnool are now homeless and are in the relief camps. Please pray for them and also pray for our team who are going to start tomorrow.
