| Sister Laurie praying with some orphans for Maryanne Frisken's healing |
Helping Evangelising the poor in India
My name is Sister Laurie Ann Lanka, I am working as a high school teacher (part-time) and also an evangelist in the Redeemed Hearts Ministry. My husband who is a pastor has a serious heart problem even though he is 39 years of age, but we believe God is healing him in answer to prayer. Redeemed Hearts Ministry compromises 36 churches and pastors who are working for the edification of churches and its development. Each pastor is responsible in conducting weekly Prayer meetings besides Sunday's worship. Monthly once whole night service, Weekly once Fasting Prayers and in between there will be Thanks giving meetings, Birthday celebration meetings need to be conducted. And also they conduct Baptismal classes on Sundays for the youth - A very busy schedule. 15 Gospel Crusade meetings have been conducted by our co-operative pastors where Lord showed more than 12,000 souls to come into HIM since the origin of the ministry. We have conducted these Gospel meetings in different areas in each area we had 125 to 200 baptisms. All these newly baptized members had been provided with a New Testament Bible.

Our Values
We recognize that God calls us to mission that is grounded in confession of our sins, grows out of a life of prayer and is sustained in worship. Therefore, we covenant to live and serve together in God’s mission according to the following values: 1. Trusting in the Holy Spirit and trusting in one another as each discerns how God is moving us in mission. (Acts 10) 2. Doing mission in the way of Jesus who humbled himself, showing the way of self-giving and self-emptying. (Philippians 2) 3. Seeking to be faithful to God as we live and proclaim the fullness of Jesus Christ’s good news; personal witness to those outside the church, justice for the oppressed and compassion for those in need. We accompany others in their efforts to be faithful. (Luke 4) 4. Affirming the complementary nature of God’s gifts to all in the one body of Christ and encouraging one another in living out those gifts. (I Corinthians 12) 5. Recognizing our responsibility to each other by communicating openly, acting transparently and speaking and hearing the truth in love. (Ephesians 4) Our pastors are all committed to the need to spread of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, Our Saviour and Redeemer. Because we believe the Good News we are vigorously and vibrantly working for the salvation of the people who are groping in darkness. Indeed it is our highest calling that God has inspired us to bring the individuals and their families into the redemptive plan of our Redeemer Jesus Christ. We have taken this concept as a challenge and in the fear of the Lord, with the strength of the prayers, we are sincerely working towards this aim.

Pastors’ Needs
In average each pastor, evangelist takes care of 75 to 125 congregational members. Since, all threes churches are very poor neither the tithe income nor the regular offerings is are sufficient for the maintenance of the pastors and the churches. In many villages we don’t have church buildings therefore maintaining the thatched sheds become expensive and time consuming. The Pastors are very hard workers and show lot of interest in saving souls. All these pastors are full time preachers and hence don’t have any other means to earn an income. I shed many tears about the needs of these poor pastors. Hence I am appealing to all our brothers and sisters in Christ to open their hears and their hands to support these pastors and thus glorifying the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I humbly request the pastors to support them monthly and I have worked on their average need is around $30 USD which includes their travelling and other expenses. If you can’t give $30US a month any money that you can give regularly will help.
