News Rev Festus Suruma Home Call of Bishop Suruma The Bishop of the South Seas Evangelical Church (SSEC), Rev Festus Suruma was called home to rest at 4 am on Saturday 12th July. He had been sick for a few months. He had pneumonia, then kidney problem. After the funeral service on Monday at the SSEC Central Church, the body was taken on a boat to be buried at his home village Fulifo'oe, on North Malaita. Bishop Suruma was a strong supporter of Christian schools in the Solomon Islands believing that Biblically based Christian schooling offered hope for a stronger Church and a stronger nation in the Solomon Islands. He will be greatly missed. Please pray for his widow and children and many relatives and friends who will grieve his passing.
