For Baptist educators this would have to be the highlight of the year so far. In April 110 teachers from 32 of the Baptist schools, come together for a ‘first of it's kind' Education Conference, titled ‘Education for Transformation'. Keynote speakers, Mr Neville Pollard and Mr David Koutsoukis came up from Australia and addressed the conference. Mr Neville Pollard represented New Hope International and trained the teachers on Christian Worldview, What is a Christian School, Students in the image of God and The Christian teacher.
This was a wonderful opportunity for evangelism as many of our teachers are not Christian. One teacher commented during one of the workshops saying, "Our table has just figured it out. If we want to see transformation in the lives of our students, then we, ourselves must first be transformed". Praise God they got it!!
Mr David Koutsoukis from School Masters, introduced his Values Education Toolkit which was a great compliment to Neville's sessions, offering practical ideas and resources for teachers to use in their classrooms
