These children are at risk of being killed by Hindu fundamentalists in Orissa State because they go to a Christian school

CHRISTIANS ARE SUFFERING DREADFUL PERSECUTION IN INDIA

Orissa -- Again, we would like to inform you the Persecution of Orissa. which we are unable to explain. Hope, you might have heard in the news and watched the Television regarding this. Seven Christian dead bodies were so far recovered, 95 Churches were destroyed, and 800 Christian houses were burned by Hindu fundamentalists. Government failed to protect our Christian brothers and sisters. All have gone to jungle, hiding themselves along with their small children. How sad………..our tears are coming. This is the very biggest persecution in the history of Orissa. You will wonder ,husband does not know where his wife, mother does not know where her children , as due to much fear they ran away, where they saw the way in the forest they ran in that way. Young and healthy Christians have left their villages to flee for their lives, children, women, old and sick, who could not flee for their lives, are in great danger. "Those who are left have been starving for last four days, and the sick are suffering without medical attention." A victim told , "They are forced to convert to Hinduism if they are to get food, medical attention and shelter." We have also come to know that RSS, Hindu leaders going to different neighbor villages and threatening Christian people to convert again to Hinduism otherwise their lives will be in dangers.
Assurance given by state government and Union Home minister has not affected the victims and villages from the violence caused by the Hindutva Fundamentalists. "The fundamental rights provided by Indian Constitution to provide security protection has failed to reach the minority Christians in the state of Orissa," No complaints from victims and Christian communities have been filed by the local police." A Memorandum has been submitted to Justice Shri Rajendra Babu, Chairman of National Human Rights Commission and Christian delegation will meet him on December 31, 2007 at 12:30 noon, to setup a special enquiry into the violence. Earlier today, a delegation representing millions of Indian Christians met Mr. Mohammad Hamid Ansari, Vice President of India to act immediately to protect the Christians in the state and villagers to return back to their homes and villages. The All India Christian Council, birthed in 1998, exists to protect and serve the Christian community, minorities, and the oppressed castes. The AICC is a coalition of thousands of Indian denominations, organizations, and lay leaders.
Orissa continues to be a difficult place for Chrsitians. The situation is so serious. Most of the priests, pastors and Christian brothers, sisters have taken shelter in the forest. They are with single cloth; they have lost totally their property, houses and lives.
We at "New Life" Staying very close to these places. We are informed that RSS Hindu leader have targeted our Children Home. We have with much fear informed to Police for protection and police is coming to our home time to time for protection. We are with fasting , praying that all the problems will be stopped. We request your prayers for us and especially for our brothers and sisters who are in this very dangerous situation.
Dear prayer friends, situation here is very worse. It is really challenge for us as a Christian we need to pray and extend our helping hands for those needy fellow brothers, sisters and their families who have lost their property, houses, nothing to eat, no where to stay, they are with single clothes , In this winter time how terrible their condition you can imagine. The Government is doing nothing for them. The Bible says Heb 13:3 "Remember the prisoners, as though in prison with them, and those who are ill-treated, since you yourselves also are in the body".
We at "New Life" Relief team will be visiting along with blankets, winter clothes, dresses, dry food, tent, polythine, water pouch to help these persecuted families. We request you to extend your helping hands and help as much as possible so that we could reach all these families and you know how great this needs. Kindly pray and do as the Lord leads you and grant emergency relief towards this worthy cause. And we are sure the Lord will grant you , your family, church & ministry with abundant blessings and The Lord will say " Matt 25: 35-40". This is really an opportunity for us to help our fellow brothers, sisters and their families who are persecuted for the sake of Jesus Christ.
